Kirsten Miller French, born on July 27, 1988, in Newport Beach, California, graced this world with her presence and departed from us on December 3, 2023. Kirsten’s life was a testament to love, resilience, and unwavering dedication to her family, passions, education, career, and her vast circle of friends. Kirsten brought life and fun to every party.
Kirsten battled stage 4 metastatic colon cancer, showing immeasurable courage and strength throughout her fight. Her resilience in the face of adversity was a testament to her character and the depth of her spirit.
A proud alumna of Sonoma State University, Kirsten earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management, embracing the values of sisterhood through her involvement with Alpha Gamma Delta. Her commitment to learning and growth was evident in both her academic and professional pursuits.
For 12 years, Kirsten served many roles at Target. She most recently was a dedicated Human Resources Business Partner at Target. Her tenure was marked not only by professional excellence but also by her ability to uplift and support her colleagues. Her leadership, empathy, and dedication made a lasting impact on the Target community.
As a loving wife to Jennifer French, Kirsten always said she was blessed with the perfect life. Kirsten and Jen truly lived life to the fullest during their time together. Kirsten knew how to slow Jen down and truly be in the moment, Jen showed Kir how to take risks and be spontaneous. Kirsten’s love was always shown towards Jen through great times and extremely hard ones. Kirsten made sure until her final days that Jen knew truly how much she loved her.
Kirsten’s greatest joy was her daughter, Adelaide French, who was nearly two years old when Kirsten departed. Though her time with Adelaide was shorter than hoped, Kirsten’s love, guidance, and spirit will forever be a part of Adelaide’s journey.
Kirsten’s family, including her father, Dave, her mother, Kathy, her brother, Adam, and her sister, Morgan, held a special place in her heart. Their memories together are a forever memory of laughter, shared moments, and the unbreakable bonds of family.
Beyond her immediate family, Kirsten’s wide and diverse circle of friends was a testament to her warmth, kindness, fun personality, and ability to foster deep connections.
Kirsten’s legacy of love, compassion, and unwavering strength will continue to live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. Her absence leaves an irreplaceable void, yet her memory will be a guiding light for those she leaves behind.
May Kirsten’s spirit find eternal peace, and her memories bring comfort to all who mourn her loss.
Just meet me in the stars.
I saw you twinkling at me.
I know just where you are.
Distance can never steal
A lifetime of our love.
It is when it is the darkest
The stars appear above.
So shine ever so brightly.
Let me know you still care.
Meet me in the stars
And I will find you there.
In lieu of flowers, Kirsten’s family requests donations to be made to her daughter’s college fund.
