Rafael was born on June 12, 1951 in Brooklyn, New York, to Rafael Vazquez and Susana
Ponte.
Rafael graduated from high school and served in the Marine Corps. Later, he met his wife
Ginette when they worked together at Ecolabs, and they were later married in Las Vegas on
June 8, 1996.
During his career, he was with Eagle Management Group as a city manager for over 25 years.
Rafael loved Nascar and football. He also loved cooking, sewing, and listening to music. You
could also find him tending to his garden, or working with his hands and building things for fun.
He is survived by his loving wife Ginette Vazquez, children Charlene (Chad Pepper), Deborah
(Joe Kerr), Ronald Strangio, and Jeffrey Strangio, 8 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to cancer research.

Till the end, he reached out to his surviving Sister Evelyn Gumina, brother-in-law Joseph Gumina. He is also survived by his handicapped son Steven Vazquez, grandson Noah Pepper and deceased Son Rafael Vazquez
